About Us

Cornerstone Baptist Church is affiliated with the Michigan Conference of the Baptist General Conference, now known as Converge.

Cornerstone was established in 1877 by a group of Scandinavian friends in Ludington and was first known as the Scandinavian Baptist Church. Over the years the church has grown and changed location. For a long period of time the church was located on Washington Avenue and was known as Washington Avenue Baptist Church.

In 2004 a new building was complete at our current location, and the name of the church was changed to Cornerstone Baptist Church.

We are a passionate, diverse group who love the Lord and desire to see others come to know Him as well. We firmly believe in the Bible as God's inspired Word to mankind and our guide for faith, conduct, and truth.
